s3ganize comes with a new sub version 1.2.5 containing bugfixes for version 1.2. and some improvements. The biggest thing would be that you can use now every latin character in your filenames like a german ö or spanish special characters like è. Release Notes Version 1.2.5.0 (November 2, 2008) - FIX: files containing special characters in its name could not be uploaded or downloaded. This issue is fixed now.
- FIX: displaying buckets with a large number of objects was very slow. This is fixed now and as fast as buckets with small number of objects.
- NEW: double click on an object (or a file) will open the file now. Its the same functionality like right-click and select "Open As File" in context menu.
- NEW: delete multiple objects with only one confirmation now. I've added a new dialog "delete items", which will list all items you've selected for deleting. This dialog occurs only while deleting more than 1 files.
- FIX: statistics view of all uploads and downloads does not show the files whole size right while uploading. Fixed.

s3ganize Version 1.2 was released today and is available in the download section of this site. After fixing some bugs I spent some time to improve the upload process to Amazon S3. I think, the new upload dialog is much more sophisticated than you can find in other tools. Below the Release Notes you'll find a screenshot. Please feel free to give me feedback about that. Release Notes Version 1.2 (October 26, 2008) - FIX: closing application while running uploads or downloads gives you a warning now and will ask you to proceed closing or cancel the exit
- NEW: choose ACL (Access Control List) before uploading objects. From now on you can define public readable objects on your s3 hard drive (or private objects like in previous versions. The ACL "public-read-write" is also available.
- NEW: bulk uploader implemented. The new upload dialog lets define you lots of file uploads to multiple buckets with different ACLs at a time. Press
then "OK"-Button and let s3ganize perform all uploads in background. - FIX: dragging the splitter between panel of background operations and the other parts of main window produced sometimes a thread synchronization error while download or upload processes were running. This is fixed now.

Today i'm proud to announce, that i just released an update of s3ganize to version 1.1.0.0.
Some new features where added to s3ganize. Also i fixed all known bugs. RELEASE NOTES - FIX: after deleting a bucket it was still visible in treeview (left-pane containing s3 accounts and buckets) and detailview (right pane)
- FIX: starting up with internet- or network-problems results in that way, that the user had to re-enter his amazon-identifiers
- NEW: now you can access property pages for nearly every node in the treeview (left pane of program window). You can watch properties of an account node and of a bucket node. Property pages for objects (files) are planned and scheduled for next release.
- NEW: now you can change your s3 identifiers of an account node inline without restarting the program and without delete and re-create it
- NEW: the list view of a bucket contains the whole size of all objects after the object-list was read out first (economical usage of s3 accounts is important for developing s3ganize!)
LOOK AHEAD There are a lot of plans for the next releases, and a lot of missing features i can imagine for professional usage of Amazon S3.
